On appeal, the Firm obtained reversal of an order holding a property owner in contempt under Judiciary Law ยง753 due to an alleged violation of a stipulation of settlement. The Appellate Division agreed that the terms of the stipulation had discontinued the action between the parties and that the order of contempt lacked jurisdiction.
