Thomas J. Higgs represents state municipalities and their employees, including law enforcement officials, in both State and Federal Courts. Mr. Higgs is also engaged in civil and criminal litigation matters, including commercial and personal injury litigation.

Mr. Higgs was previously an attorney at Boies, Schiller & Flexner, LLP where he successfully represented various clients in a wide range of matters that included: plaintiffs in product liability actions—via subrogation—against major manufacturers and distributors of table saws; DuPont while under investigation by the United States Department of Justice; the Yankees Entertainment & Sports Network in an expedited arbitration against Cablevision; a direct purchaser class in an antitrust action against Nvidia, ATI and AMIS; and State Farm Insurance Company in a products liability action against certain appliance manufacturers.

Prior to entering the practice of law, Mr. Higgs worked for the Japanese Ministry of Education in Japan, as a purchasing manager for an international food company in Philadelphia, and as a manager in the Copper Trading Department of Mitsubishi International Corporation in New York City. Mr. Higgs was a judicial extern for the Hon. Thomas E. Mercure, New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Department.
