ZONING AND LAND USE

Our attorneys represent municipalities in litigation arising from zoning board and planning board decisions, including the denial of a special use permit, area variance and use variance, and the interpretation of local zoning laws. We have also successfully defended a board determination denying a permit for the construction of a cell tower. 

We also work with local municipalities in drafting local laws and ordinances in the areas of zoning and land use. We have also assisted communities in the siting of telecommunications facilities and cell towers and issues pertaining to the Federal Telecommunications Act of 1996. Our attorneys have served as members of local zoning and planning boards and lectured at continuing legal education seminars and chamber of commerce meetings.
